Royal Blue: Bradford City FC deserve credit for sticking to their word in George Green deal

IT’S all well and good talking about honour and principles in modern football, but a few extra noughts on a cheque can often make them redundant.

That’s why Bradford City, and their chairman Julian Rhodes, deserve credit for insisting George Green would join Everton, despite Spurs doubling the Blues’ offer. For a cash-strapped League Two club it was a top gesture.
