DARREN Williams fired NORTHOP into a dominant position before Chris Brookes’ bowlers finished off Bethesda in style.
Opener Williams struck an impressive 124 in the North Wales League Division One clash, almost single-handedly carrying his side to their final total of 242-7.
If Bethesda couldn’t get their defence in order they ha no chance and the writing was on the wall as Jonathan Haupfleisch (4-11) claimed the two openers without a ruin being scored.
Nathan Howatson took 2-24 as ‘Pesda were skittled for just 78.
HALKYN suffered a three-wicket loss at home to Menai Bridge 2nds.
Duane Williams put on 38 for the home side as they scored a fair 136.
But it wasn’t enough against a strong Bridge side and despite the efforts of Graeme Settle (2-37), Kevin Jones (2-38) and John Gaskell (2-31) Bridge finished with 137-7.
