Alvanley snatch dramatic victory

ALVANLEY 2nds won a thriller against Over Peover – claiming victory by just two runs.
Alvanley declared on 159-7, Andy Senior top-scoring with 88. Over Peover were halted on 157 thanks to the bowling of Ajith Hettiarachichi (4-22), Lee Ainsworth (4-37) and Mark Leadbetter (2-29).
OAKMERE 2nds saw off Runcorn 2nds, who were all out for 156 chasing 181.
Jason Oswell (52) Doug Pinnington (31), Mike Cushion (41 and 3-27), John Crouchley (22) and Robbie Jones (5-39) did the business for Oakmere.
MALPAS 2nds lost by nine wickets to Stretton.
Malpas elected to bat but were skittled for 73 (Mark Humphreys 33). The visitors made light work of wrapping up the game.
