UPTON Panthers inflicted a first defeat of the season on Chester Nomads in the under 9s section.
Nomads’ man of the match William Burke opened the scoring, but Panthers clawed their way back into the game with two goals.
Boughton and Malpas and District shared the points in a thrilling 1-1 draw. Jonathan Nixon netted late on for Boughton, with Joe Slawson taking the MotM award.
William Morris was the Malpas marksman, Robbie Clark their MotM.
The goals were shared between Sam Ward, Cam Bradley, Owen Bennett, Ben Harvey, Tom Wyatt and Rory Harper as Vicars Cross Dynamos defeated Blacon Youth Blacks 9-0. Harvey and Bradley shared the MotM honours.
MotM Stephen Carter bagged four goals as Newton Athletic saw off Westminster Park 5-2, James King Magee scoring the other goal.
In the U10s division, a MotM performance from Jamie Downs was not enough for Saughall Colts Blacks as they lost 9-0 to Vauxhall Astra.
Saughall Colts Blues lost 9-1 to Upton Panthers, their goal coming from James Winskill. Owen Harrop was the Colts’ MotM.
Lewis Gerrard scored and was named MotM for Vicars Cross Dynamos as they lost 5-1 to Helsby, while AFC Waverton defeated Elton Youth 9-0.
Sam Houghton turned in a MotM performance for Boughton as they went down to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Vauxhall Zafira.
Malpas and District turned in a great team performance as they beat Waverton Wasps 7-0 with goals from Josh Charlton, Christophe Fostier (2), Izaack Lambert, Damon Taylor, Keiran Rose and Patrick Horrocks.
The score was the same when Christleton Newscene took on Castrol Athletic, the Chester side running out winners with goals from Matt Lewis (3), Josh Boothman (3) and an own goal. Sam Gresty was MotM.
A spirited Westminster Park side were finally undone by second-half strikes from Andrew Fox and MotM Adam Halewood in a 2-0 defeat to Chester Nomads Colts.
Henry Smith and MotM Connor Jones bagged doubles to fire Newton Celtic to a 5-1 win over Vicars Cross. James Collinson also netted.
Chester Nomads chalked up a 3-0 success over Hope Farm Hotspurs with goals from Walker, Hassell and Baird.
AFC Waverton Hornets defeated Elton Youth 9-1. The goals were shared between Michael Woollam, James Harker, Robert Elvey, Adam Stanworth and William Mackenzie. MotM was Olly Marshall.
Newton Athletic were 3-0 winners over Westminster Park Lions, their goals coming from Marc Hardman (2) and Will Hannigan. Joe Johnson and Josh Lavelle shared the MotM honours for Newton.
Liam Eldridge was outstanding in defence for the Lions, but their MotM award went to Joseph Brackenbury.
