Football: Double joy for Malpas Juniors

MALPAS JFC have done the club proud by securing an impressive cup double.

The under 11s and U12s sides both won their respective Chester and District Junior League Subsidiary Cup finals at Westminster Park.

The U11s won a thriller against Newton Athletic on penalties after a 4-4 draw. Man-of-the-match Joel Nevitt bagged a brace, with Tom Hayton and an own goal completing Malpas’ score.

The U12s won their crown after a tight and competitive match against Newton Athletic, whom they beat 1-0. James Fitzpatrick got the goal and Finn Abberton was MoM.
