MALPAS were big winners in the Chester and District Junior League Under 11s Olympic Trophies Division, beating Saughall 9-2.
The visitors equalised Joel Nevitt’s opener but after that, it was all Malpas.
A hat-trick for Aiden Smith, a second for Nevitt plus goals for Jack Flaherty, Jimmy Faulkner and man of the match (MoM) Kristian Bailey made for an emphatic win. Saughall added a second consolation goal before the final whistle.
In Division Two, Upton Blues went down 10-2 to Westminster Park Lions. Matthew McCaffrey got both Upton goals with Christopher McCartney, Jordan Stevens, Luke Walker, Alex Smith, Joseph Szczyglowski, Joseph Speed, Callum Gough, Adam Thomson and Alex Halliwell Dykes sharing the goals for the Lions.
The U12 Olympic Trophies Division clash between Boughton and Castrol Celtic ended 3-0 to Boughton.
Alex Garner bagged a brace and Jack Smith added the third.
Waverton slipped to a 4-2 loss at home to Park Saints. MoM Joe Williams (2), Yuseph Bakir and a Sam Parsons penalty secured the points for Saints.
Park Saints also won in their U13s R and G Logistics Ltd Division clash with Malpas, which ended 4-0. Doubles from both Johnny Morgan and Lewis Knight proved decisive. MoM was Saints’ Adam Davies.
In Division Two, Newton Athletic beat hosts Waverton 10-0. MoM Mathew Lewis, Jacob Roden, Steven Bellis, David Freeman, Sam Smith and Ryan King shared the goals.
In the minis section, Tom Rose struck twice as Blacon Youth beat Waverton Hornets 5-1 in the U9s Shield. Lewis Coppack, James Lloyd and Joshua Tillyer also found the net for Blacon.
Upton Panthers beat their hosts Castrol Athletic 9-1, Christleton New Scene saw off Tattenhall 5-1 and Newton Athletic defeated Chester Nomads Colts 3-0.
In the U9s Cup, Blacon Youth Tigers were beaten at home 3-1 by Malpas & District.
In the Westminster derby, Westminster Park Tigers lost 8-1 to Westminster Park Lions. Waverton Wasps fell 5-1 at home to Vauxhall Motors Zafira.
Boughton triumphed over Christleton New Scene Blues 2-0 in the U10s Cup.
Newton Athletic’s Joel Samson scored in their 1-0 win over Blacon Youth. MoM for Athletic was Tom Vickers for Blacon it was Joel Harries.
Upton Panthers registered a 7-1 away win at Waverton Wasps, while Upton Pumas triumphed 4-2 in their U10s Shield match against Waverton Bees.
Westminster Park Tigers were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Christleton New Scene Reds and Upton Jaguars lost at home 1-0 to Waverton Hornets.
Chester Nomads U13s conquered Neston Nomads 12-0 in the Ellesmere Port Junior League.
Five goals for Joe Houghton and a hat-trick for Stuart Swift provided the bulk of the goals with Benjy Parry (2), Matty Robinson and MoM Rowan Brooks also on the scoresheet.
In the U12s section, Chester Nomads were similarly dominant, winning 11-0 against Neston Nomads.
This time MoM James Shaw scored six, with two from Cameron Clark, and singles from Mitch Mowatt, Leon Shirton and Callum Graham.
