Welsh Premier League: Airbus UK Broughton boss Craig Harrison satisfied despite winless start

AIRBUS UK Broughton are yet to truly to take off this season but boss Craig Harrison has been buoyed by his team’s performances against the top three.

Having taken hard-earned points against Llanelli and then Rhyl, the Wingmakers travelled to The New Saints on Saturday but went down 2-1 on the artificial surface.

Marc Lloyd Williams scored his fourth goal in three games – a header from Matthew Cook’s cross – but it was not enough as the full-timers sealed a victory they just about deserved.

Harrison said: “That was probably the toughest game out of the three we have had so far.

“The three teams we have played will be the ones to beat this season. Rhyl are very strong. I think whoever finishes above those three will be in Europe next season.”

Airbus’ search for their first victory of the campaign continues this Sunday when they host Haverfordwest County (2.30pm).

The Wingmakers then entertain Prestatyn Town on Wednesday in Group Four of the Loosemores Challenge Cup (7.30pm).
