SALTNEY Vets strolled into round three of the Chester FA Cup by beating Chester Nomads 3rds 6-2.
Crossway follow them after a 3-1 victory over Ashton Lions.
Boughton Athletic dropped out with a 2-1 home defeat to Chester Nomads 6ths, while Cestrian Alex can feel unlucky after losing 3-2 to Tarvin Athletic. Adi Gough’s double kept them in the game but two from John Winter and one from Stuart Groves proved enough for Tarvin.
Martin Moors scored twice and Jack Delgado added a third as Chester Nomads eliminated hosts Christleton Reserves 3-1.
Malpas Reserves succumbed to a 4-2 home defeat at the hands of Chester Nomads 4ths.
Lee Guirado and Ed Hulse snatched a goal apiece as Duddon United took Uberlube to extra time in their tie, finishing 2-2. But Nick Ball struck in extra time to send Duddon through.
Vicars Cross Doves were shot down by West Meters who ran out 4-0 victors.
Highfield Athletic comfortably booked their place in round two by dumping Kelsall out 4-0.
Also completing their round one fixture was Barrow Athletic, who departed from the competition after losing 3-1 at Lodge Bar.
Only two games took place in the Chester and District League as most clubs had cup commitments.
The Queensferry Sports Premier Division saw City Bar and Hoole Rangers thrash out a 3-3 draw.
In DevaWeb Services Division Two, Hoole Rangers Reserves fell to an 8-0 battering by MBCS.
