Broadheath Central 0 Malpas 2
DESPITE delivering a flat performance, Malpas still managed to pocket all three points on Saturday.
After missing a host of chances in the first period, the visitors found their shooting boots after the break and netted through Jack Oakden and Tom Peak.
Boss Robbie McWilliams said: “We have played better this season and lost, but we were in charge throughout the entire game without really playing well.
“We created and missed a lot of chances, but at least we are making chances.”
The visitors’ first goal arrived when a slick move involving Jon Stubbs and Roy Cardus resulted in Cardus being upended 25 yards out. Oakden stepped up to fire home a thunderous free-kick.
The impressive Peak then intercepted a back-pass and rounded the keeper before coolly slotting home to take it 2-0.

Tarporley Vics 3 Eagle Sports 2: Vics were without three key players but they still managed to notch up a home win.
The hosts went ahead on 20 minutes when Alex Moore finished a fine move.
On 34 minutes, a surging run from Andy Clacher saw him one-on-one with Eagles’ keeper, who made a superb block. But the ball dropped to Clacher, who nutmegged the centre-half before firing home.
The second half began disastrously, with Eagle drawing level with two goals. But on 63 minutes, Vics finally bagged the third, Dan Haralambous swinging over a corner for Moore to head home.
Tomorrow Vics head to Maine Road Reserves.
