New boys in among goals

Malpas 3 Christleton 0

THREE second-half goals handed Malpas a home win over their West Cheshire League visitors in a friendly on Saturday.

The new Malpas strikeforce of Roy Cardus and Jack Oakden each went close during a first half which Christleton shaded in terms of chances.

Malpas went 1-0 up after the break when Cardus glanced home a header from a Simon Bradley cross. Oakden doubled the lead with a classy finish, before Cardus applied the third.
