Castrol win trophy

A BLISTERING start to the Tom Gerraghty Memorial Trophy final saw Hoole Rangers take the lead after 40 seconds at Little Heath, but they could not overcome Castrol Social who won 3-2.

Pete Wheeler’s early strike only served to spur the Oilmen on and they hit back with two goals from Andy Crawford and one from Ste Morgan.

Lennox Beddows slotted home a penalty for Hoole but Castrol held on to lift the trophy.
