Running: Race is on to enter Shell Chester Half Marathon

MORE than 1,500 entries have already been received for this year's Shell Chester Half Marathon on Sunday, May 16.

On-line entries from entrants, who must be over 18 years old on the day of the race, are being accepted at: www.sportsystems.co.uk/ss/chesterhalf/index.htm.

Postal entries close on March 8 or earlier if full.

Fixtures this weekend include the England Indoor U15s, U17s and U20s Championships on Saturday and Sunday at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena.

The English National Cross Country Championships take place on Saturday at Roundhay Park, Leeds (11am start).

Forthcoming fixtures include the Cheshire and Warrington Year 7 and Year 8 School Sportshall Athletics County Final, at the Northgate Arena, Chester, on Thursday, March 11 (3.30-6pm).
