WEST Cheshire AC’s Amy Williams is now up to third in the UK rankings for the under 13s girls indoor long jump.
The starlet also broke a club record when recording a personal best distance of 4.96m at the Northern Indoor Open Meeting at Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield.
West Cheshire’s Chris Goodwin finished sixth (16.41mins) in the U17s men’s race at the Manchester Area Cross Country League match at Boggart Hole Clough. Sacha Kendall-Woords was the sixth fastest L35 and 80th overall (39.24) followed by Max Wood in 138th (49.07).
Mary Radford retained the L60 title after passing the post in 107th (35.41) at the final round of the North Staffs Cross Country League at Westwood High School, Leek.
Jeff Kettle was the first Wests member home in 34th (34.33), with Andrew Clague 53rd (35.50).
Dave Hough finished 76th (42.45) in the final round of the Liverpool & District Cross Country League at Beacon Park, Skelmersdale
West Cheshire AC threw open their doors to a supervised winter throws training camp at the weekend.
Fully-qualified throws coaches Dan Gilroy, Jenny Manning and Dave McKay took charge of sessions which featured hammer, javelin, shot and discus.
