Athletics: Reason for Halton & Frodsham Harriers to cheer at Cheshire Multi- Event Championships

HALTON & Frodsham Harriers were also in action at the Cheshire Multi- Event Championships – and they also made the short journey home from Macclesfield with reason to be proud.

Jenny Pyatt was the gold medal winner in the Under 11 girls triathlon with 161 points followed by clubmate Georgia Massey in seventh with 125.

Jess Wright and Martha Cottrell both won county bronze medals after sharing fourth place with 184 points in the U13s girls. Jess achieved a grade two performance in the 800m (2.31.8mins) and a grade three in the shot (6.97m) while Martha equalled that grade in the long jump (4.05).

Amy Wright was the eighth-best Cheshire finisher in the U15s girls having recorded a grade four shot (7.47).

David Hayes enjoyed a number of fine results in the U15s boys, achieving grade fours in the 80m hurdles (13.4secs) and long jump (4.89m) and a grade three in the shot (10.79). Those earned him a county and overall third-placed finish for a bronze medal with 1,968 points.
