DEESIDE Ramblers Ladies came back from the dead to maintain their stunning league form.
The Ramblers found themselves 3-1 down at the break at high-flying Morpeth Ladies on Saturday.
But Vicky Walton, Steff Wilson and Amy Brickland strikes brought them level before Ali Cheshire capped a storming second-half comeback by scoring the goal that secured them an excellent 4-3 win.
Chester Ladies (Donna Richards, Claire Gledhill) put up a good fight in going down 4-2 at home to table-topping Ben Rhydding.
Chester Ladies 2nds won 2-1 at home to Bowdon Ladies 4ths. Ellie Kerney Mitchell (2), Clare Kaye (2), Debbie Overton and Becky Neary got the goals as the 3rds thrashed Timperley Ladies 3rds 6-0, while the 4ths won 4-1 at Golborne Daten Ladies 2nds.
The prolific Mark Goodyer and the evergreen John Porter hit hat-tricks as Deeside Ramblers Men’s 5ths recorded a 7-3 victory at Oxton 5ths.
Keith Jones completed the scoring for the promotion pushers.
Ramblers 4ths were winning 4-1 at home to Oxton 4ths through Mike Griffiths, Pete Cope, Rob Morris and skipper David Jones when the match had to be abandoned 10 minutes from time because of the weather.
Ramblers 3rds played well in losing 3-0 at City of Manchester 2nds. Matt Skelhorne and Matt Steventon – on his third-team debut – stood out.
