Taste Buds coffee shop, Wrexham, named best independent cafe

A COFFEE shop has scooped the title of Wrexham’s best independent cafe in a Chronicle competition.

Taste Buds in High Street won a plaque in the competition, which aimed to support the town’s traders during the recession.

It was the brainchild of Wrexham Labour AM Lesley Griffiths and sponsored by IMC.

Ms Griffiths said: “I was delighted to present, along with Tim Tindle, the award to Taste Buds.

“It was great to see the number of cards and bouquets the cafe had received from their loyal customers who obviously understand the need to support small independent traders in these difficult economic times.”

Chronicle editor Kevin Hughes said: “Small independent businesses are the lifeblood of some communities and I would like to congratulate all our nominees.”
