LEVI MACKIN'S call-up to the Wales Under-21 squad yesterday has enabled Wrexham to postpone Friday's scheduled League Two trip to Lincoln City.
The Dragons now have three players on international duty with Mark Jones also representing Wales and Mike Ingham selected for Northern Ireland, so their journey to Sincil Bank will take place on Tuesday, September 13 (7.45pm).
With Wrexham's already small squad reduced to the bare bones because of an injury crisis, manager Denis Smith admitted the postponement had come as a big relief.
Smith said: "With our injury problems and the call-ups it would have been ridiculous to play the game this Friday.
"In Monday's win over Barnet, the oldest of our substitutes was 18.
"We brought Levi on but I didn't want to throw any of the other lads on. Basically we would have been asking young boys to do a man's job.
"In the circumstances, it's good that the Lincoln game has now been moved. But I do like playing games when you should do, it makes life a bit easier.
