Swimmers are bracing themselves for a biting festive dip.
The hearty bunch will take the plunge in west London, swimming 100m in close to freezing temperatures.
Organisers of the Princes Club Polar Bear swim, which began last year when 16 courageous souls took to the water, hope around 50 people will brave the chilly weather for this year's event.
Participants were being enticed with the promise of a glass of mulled wine on completion of the challenge.
They are expected to take their dip at the Princes Club waterski and wakeboard facility in Bedfont, west London, at 10am.
