A body found in a river by teams searching for a missing 13-year-old boy is expected to be identified on Sunday, police said.
The body, found in the River Stort in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, on Saturday afternoon is thought likely to be that of Jordan Trowsdale.
The 13-year-old, from Bishop's Stortford, was last seen at the skate park in The Causeway in the town at around 5.45pm on Christmas Eve.
After a massive search operation, police divers recovered a body from the river and said it was "very likely" to be that of Jordan.
A Hertfordshire Police spokeswoman said: "Formal identification is due to take place later this afternoon."
She said Jordan's family, who were said to be with a Family Liaison Officer, would not be making any comment at this stage.
Several groups have been set up on social networking site Facebook for Jordan, many attracting hundreds of members.
On a page entitled We Have to Find Jordan Trowsdale Right Now, Debra Lehner Farron wrote: "I am very sorry to have heard about the discovery today. Thinking of Jordan's family and friends at this very sad time. RIP Jordan."
Libby Humphrey added: "I can't believe this, I literally am so so shocked. It must be so much harder for his family not knowing what happened. I just can't stop looking at his picture, hearing his voice, god knows what his friends and family must be going through.
"RIP Jordan, I hope police can at least find out what happened x."
