Briton killed in Corsica accident

A British woman died after she was hit by a bus on the holiday island of Corsica.

The 19-year-old, who has not been named, died on Thursday evening in the coastal town of Bastia, the Foreign Office said.

A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "We can confirm the death in Bastia of a British national."

She added: "Next of kin have been informed. We are providing consular assistance."
