Decline in UK car output slows down

Car production fell last month but the decline was the smallest so far this year.

There were 91,718 cars produced in the UK in June 2009 - 30.2% fewer than in the same month last year, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders said.

This compared with falls of 43.0% in May and 55.3% in April.
