Mother faces stabbing death charges

A mother of two is due to appear in court charged with murdering her two children.

Jael Mullings, 21, is accused of stabbing to death her sons Romario, two, and Delayno Mullings-Sewell, three months, at their home in Cheetham Hill, Manchester, last November 12.

She was sectioned under the Mental Health Act following their deaths.

Police who were called to the family home in Kilmington Drive, Cheetham Hill, discovered the boys' bodies and post-mortem examinations showed both died as a result of a single stab wound to the chest.

The local authority and a police watchdog subsequently announced they were launching separate investigations.

Mullings is due to enter a plea when she appears at Manchester Crown Court.
