Tony Bowerman publishes guide to Sandstone Trail

A WALKING guide to Cheshire’s Sandstone Trail has been published by Tony Bowerman.

Tony, 54, from Tattenhall is a walking enthusiast and the man behind Northern Eye Books, an independent publisher of outdoor walking guides.

His most recent title – Walking Cheshire’s Sandstone Trail – is now available at www.northerneyebooks. com and at major stockists including WHSmith, Waterstone’s and Borders.

At 224 pages, the pocket-sized book will be the first official guide to the popular 34-mile route along Cheshire’s sandstone ridge running between Frodsham and Whitchurch.

Colour illustrated, it is anticipated the book will become an invaluable resource for weekend strollers and serious walkers alike.

The guide contains Ordnance Survey maps, route descriptions, points of historical interest and details relating to the geology of the area.

Mr Bowerman said: “Hopefully the guide will attract more people to the area.”
