Syndicate examines its horse power

TWELVE people from three different countries have been brought together – by a horse.

The group met after they each logged on to the website for Deva Racing, based at Michael Owen’s Manor House stables near Tattenhall.

Members of the syndicate, from Cheshire, Shropshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Wales and even as far as Holland, each own a 1/12 share in chestnut filly Kyllachy Magic.

Owners met for the first time at a naming ceremony for their equine charge, and some members of the group had even purchased their share without even seeing the filly in the flesh – thanks to her well-known sire, Kyllachy, and dam, Out of Magic.

Manor House trainer Nicky Vaughan announced the name at an official ceremony and owners toasted to her good luck with a champagne toast.

Director of Deva Racing, Mike Foster, said: “The owners are delighted with the progress the filly has made so far and Nicky and the team have done really well in preparing the horse for her first race in September.

“Deva Racing are soon to purchase yearlings from the forthcoming sales; if they are as good as this filly we will be delighted.”

Deva Racing offers racing enthusiasts the opportunity to purchase a share in racehorses with potential.

Prospective owners are invited to a no-obligation stable visit to view the horses and chat with trainer Nicky Vaughan.
