MILKMEN at Briscoe’s Dairy in Tarvin have set off on this year’s Macmillan Cancer Support Milkmen Challenge.
The milkmen will be dropping envelopes off with their customers in the next few weeks to raise donations for local people affected by cancer.
The challenge ties in with Macmillan Cancer Support’s sponsored walking events which include the Wirral Coastal Walk on Sunday, May 18.
In the last five years, Briscoe’s Dairy raised more than £3,500 for Macmillan, and last year M&G Whittingham & Dairy Crest, Blacon raised more than £1,198 for local people affected by cancer.
Marie Travers and Aimee Scally, the fundraising team for Chester, are both excited about this year’s challenge and are grateful to the dairies involved, as well as every customer who chooses to support the initiative.
Marie said: “Macmillan Cancer Support has a big ambition to help everyone affected by cancer by 2010, an ambition we really could not achieve without this kind of support and donations.
