Saint’s tale brought to life in street theatre
A TWIST in the tale brought a legend to life in Chester.
Year 5 children of Hoole CE Primary School retold the grisly story of George slaying the Dragon to passing shoppers at the city’s town hall square and Eastgate Street.
The youngsters had worked with local artists Russell Kirk and Harry Kingham to create their own version of the triumph to celebrate St George’s Day.
They made props, composed music and wrote a new script to present the fast paced-piece about England’s patron saint.
