Charity lunch to help Isaac
A LUNCH meeting has helped serve up a healthy sum for charity in aid of a special boy.
Saturday’s event at Cilcain Church Hall raised around £100 for the Moebius Research Trust (MRT).
Eleven-month old Isaac Hughes, of Mold, suffers from the rare syndrome, which affects only 200 people in the UK.
It means he is unable to smile, blink or show facial expression. There is no cure.
Ciclain Chapel holds a monthly lunch for people of all ages, choosing a different charity to benefit each time – this month it was for the MRT.
Isaac’s parents, Ceri and Philip Hughes, along with other families, are trying to raise £250,000 to fund research.
