STUDENTS in Chester have celebrated their own form of Mardi Gras in aid of a good cause.
The University of Chester events management students hosted the festival at Rosie’s nightclub in Northgate Street earlier this month in efforts to raise money for Claire House Children’s Hospice.
Spotlight Events, the company formed by the students, transformed the venue into a Mardi Gras carnival for the evening, featuring live music, fire breathers, circus acts, a DJ and dancers.
Spotlight Events spokeswoman Emily Thompson said: “Every penny raised will be donated to Claire House.”
