Woman killed after being hit by taxi near Chester Station

A WOMAN has been killed after she was struck by a taxi on City Road in Chester.

The collision occurred at about 9.32pm on Saturday (February 25) and the pedestrian, a 24-year-old woman from Leeds, sustained fatal injuries.

A 48-year-old Chester man was arrested on  suspicion of failing to stop after a collision, and has since been released on police bail.
