Man with samurai sword arrested

POLICE have arrested a man who was seen brandishing a samurai sword in Frodsham today (Monday).

The male, who was seen wrestling another person to the ground outside The Golden Lion pub on Main Street, was arrested for affray and for possessing an offensive weapon at about 3pm.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “A man who was heavily intoxicated was arrested in Frodsham today and is currently being interviewed by police.”
