Waverton Primary School pupils in Young Voices project at MEN arena

SINGERS from Waverton Primary School have hit the big time.

Sixty youngsters performed at the MEN arena with thousands of children from all over the region, as part of a Young Voices project.

Music coordinator Sue Rumney said: “It was one of those once in a lifetime experiences.

“One little boy came back to school afterwards and said: ‘That was the best night of my life.’”

Stars taking part included Britain’s Got Talent’s Connie Talbot, the Irish band The High Kings and street dance group Urban Strides.

The children sang songs including a Queen medley and an Ellie Goulding number.
