Dee Valley Water consultant visits Chester Blue Coat CE Primary School

WATER lot of fun they’ve been having at Chester Blue Coat CE Primary School.

Tony Cope, a Dee Valley Water consultant, visited the city school to explain where our drinking water comes from, river safety, filtration and pumping processes, the health benefits of drinking enough water and the demands on the city’s water network.

Year 4 pupils meanwhile have been ‘evacuated’ as part of a Second World War project.

An elaborate plan by class teachers Cheryl Siddall and Catherine Barker involved the children walking to Bache railway station and catching a train to Port Sunlight, to await further instructions from a ‘billeting officer’.
