Chester FC vow to ban for life the culprit who threw missile at away supporters coach

CHESTER FC have vowed to ban for the life the culprit who threw a missile at the window of an away supporters coach following Saturday’s home defeat to Hednesford Town.

Blues chief executive Pat Cluskey says the club has CCTV footage of a male leaving block H in the main stand before heading along the back of the South stand and hurling the missile.

He says the video evidence will be passed on to police and if the culprit is subsequently prosecuted, the club will ban him from the Exacta Stadium for life.

Mr Cluskey said: "The club has established a good reputation over the past 18 months and the last thing we want is for that to be tarnished."

The Chronicle understands that Hednesford fans, who had just seen their team win 2-1 to move level on points with the Blues at the top of the table, were boarding the coach when the missile was thrown.

Fortunately only the outer pane of the window was broken and nobody was injured.
