Sirocco academy of Egyptian Dance launches belly dancing class in Mollington Grange

CHESTER residents looking for a creative way to keep fit for 2012 are being invited to join a new belly dancing academy.

The Sirocco Academy of Egyptian Dance (SAED) launched an academy class in Mollington Grange on Monday.

The idea is the brainchild of dancer Caroline Afifi, who has entertained audiences with her Egyptian dance for a number of years.

She said: “There is way too much misinformation out there about belly dance and people often believe it is their right to stick anything with a wiggle under the umbrella of belly dance.”

Caroline called on colleagues and students she knew she could rely on to teach to the highest standards.

Caroline added: “This is a serious mission to give contemporary bellydance the status it deserves. Students will be encouraged to develop and learn, with the option to move on to more advanced classes.”

The first class will be in the Diddy Dance Studios, Parkgate Road, from 7.30-8.30pm.
