FIRST CLASS: Reception class pupils from Mill View Primary School
RECEPTION pupils at Mill View Primary School met some interesting new friends during their first term – snakes, a tarantula, an owl and some rabbits!
The youngsters in Hannah Phillips’s class were visited by Animalz Take Over, the animal handling workshop and specialists, before a special visit to the cinema to see Happy Feet 2.
Every week, the four and five-year-olds visit the on-site Forest School with teacher Rachel Macdonald, aka Rachel Robin. Here, they learn safety rules, play team building and trust games and discover more about the world around them.
With the help of teaching assistants Ann Morris and Lesley Hershaw, the youngsters are making a bird feeder to hang in the Upton school grounds as part of a bird watch.

Next week’s featured class is from Tattenhall Park Primary School.
