Cheshire Police appeal after assault at Plas Dinas flats, Blacon

CHESHIRE Police are appealing after a man was badly injured in an attack in a Blacon high-rise flat.

The assault, which happened in the Plas Dinas block of flats, was reported to police at about 6pm on Monday.

Several police cars were called to the scene and cordoned off the flats while they launched an investigation into the attack.

It is believed a weapon was used to carry out the assault, which left one man injured, and police are searching for information on the victim’s attackers.

A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said: “At this time police have not identified the victim and are keen to trace anyone involved in the incident to establish their welfare.”

DCI Paul Beauchamp said: “There is a clear indication someone might have been seriously assaulted at the flats and this person might be in need of urgent medical attention.”

Police added there was “no firm evidence at this time” to believe the Plas Dinas incident was connected with a separate incident at the nearby Waggon and Horses pub on Friday night.

Anyone with any information on the attack should call the non-emergency line on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
