A VILLAGE primary school is the best in Cheshire thanks to its pupils’ outstanding test results.
Tattenhall Park is celebrating being the top school in the county after its best ever Key Stage 2 results.
Parents, governors and villagers have been contacting the school to offer their thanks and congratulations on the 2011 results, which have just been published by the Department for Education.
Headteacher Laura Noble said: “This is a fantastic achievement we can all be proud of – a testament to the outstanding teamwork at our school.”
The results revealed every child tested at Tattenhall Park hit the national targets.
Level 4+ in both English and maths was achieved by 100% of pupils, while 76% were graded Level 5.
Every child achieved Level 4+ in reading, writing and maths, while 72% reached Level 5.
Tattenhall Park’s average point score was 31.8 putting them top of the table for Key Stage 2 results in Cheshire.
The school prides itself on its creative character with a firm emphasis on drama, art and music.
Mrs Noble added: “Academic success and creativity are both important at Tattenhall. Well done to our whole school community.”
Following on from its county success, Tattenhall Park is also flying high in the national league.
The school is placed 34th in more than 20,000 schools in the country.
