Family pay tribute to 'legend' Broughton man

TRIBUTES have been paid to a young man from Broughton who died at a hotel in Blackpool.

Twenty-year-old Andrew Senior of Coronation Road collapsed at the Cleveland Hotel in Coronation Street, Blackpool, at about 4am on Sunday.

The former St Davids High School pupil, known as Buster to friends and family, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from North West Ambulance Service.

Lancashire Constabulary say a 19-year-old man, who is also from Broughton, who was arrested in connection with the death has been released and no further action will be taken.

A spokeswoman for the police said that Andrews death is being treated as "unexplained".

She added: "At 4.30am on Sunday, police were called by the ambulance service to a hotel on Coronation Street, Blackpool, after reports that a 20-year-old-man had collapsed.

"The man, who has been formally identified as Andrew Senior, from Broughton, had been in Blackpool for a night out with friends.

"Sadly he was pronounced dead at the scene.

"An investigation is under way into the circumstances of his death."

The incident has been reported to the Lancashire coroner.

A post-mortem examination has been carried out but proved inconclusive. Police are now awaiting the results of toxicology tests. An inquest has not yet been opened.

Heartfelt tributes to Mr Senior have been pouring in on social networking website Facebook.

Layla Frost wrote: "Forever in our hearts. Bust we will never forget you, youre a legend."

Becci Leathwaite Frantz wrote: "Youve touched so many peoples lives. Youre going to be in everyones hearts forever matey. How can life be so cruel."

In another emotional message, Joel Fellows wrote: "Cant understand why so many young lives are taken from us so early.

"It seems to me as every year passes by we lose another genuine friend.

"R.I.P Buster, you are forever in our hearts and minds.

"Sleep tight and look down on us all xxx."
