QUEEN’S Park High School students have come up with a Christmas cracker of an idea for drivers.
Sixth-formers are offering Christmas shoppers car parking at the Handbridge site on Saturdays and weekdays during the Christmas holidays.
At £3 all day, the Home School Association, which is backing the project, hopes to raise extra funds for school trips and enrichment days and extracurricular clubs.
Sixth-formers will act as car park attendants, complete with fluorescent jackets and Santa hats.
The scheme will run in Queen’s Park View every Saturday and weekdays during the Christmas holiday, from December 21-23, December 27-30 and Saturdays December 24 and 31 from 9am-6.30pm, when the car park is locked.
