Residents in Kingsley are enjoying tea and cake at a new community club

ELDERLY residents are enjoying chatting and socialising over cups of coffee and biscuits in Kingsley.

Every Wednesday pensioners meet at the community centre to socialise over a cup of tea and slices of cake while playing bingo and enjoying talks from local businessmen and organisations.

The club was started following the success of TLC (Tender Loving Care), set up by care company Home Instead, where elderly residents meet in Frodsham every week to get them out of the house and socialising with new friends.

Owner of Home Instead Neil Cook said: “The group provides a fantastic opportunity for our elderly community to get together and enjoy a chat and some cake.

“We have found with the group that has been running in Frodsham, that everyone not only loves getting together but also learning about what is going on in their area. Anyone who would like to come down and join us would be more than welcome.”

Home Instead Senior Care provides individual 24-hour care for elderly people in the community. The club will meet every Wednesday at Kingsley Community Centre from 10am until noon.
