Chester takeaway leads to planning appeal

A DECISION to refuse retrospective permission for a takeaway in a suburban shopping centre has ledŠto an appeal.Š

Applicant Hajan Yimaz submitted the application at 67 Garden Lane which was a previously a cafe.Š

The premises have become a takeaway operated in connection with a takeaway next door at no 69, according to a report.Š

Previous applications for takeaways were refused in 1994 and in 2004 when an inspector subsequently dismissed a previous appeal.Š

Cheshire West and Chester Council’s highway officer said he had concerns about parking, safety and congestion issues and recommended refusal.Š
