POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a gang of armed men attacked a man walking along the canal side.
At around 8pm on Wednesday, October 19 police were called to Queens Place, Chester after reports of a serious assault.
Now police are appealing for witness to the assault which left a 49-year-old Buckley man with cuts to his face and back.
It is thought that the man was attacked by a group of armed men, who concealed their faces and wore dark clothing.
