THREE people have been taken to hospital after their car smashed into an overturned vehicle on the M56.
At around 2.45pm today (Monday) emergency services were called to the M56 between junction 12 and 14 after two vehicles collided.
Three people travelling in a Citroen Xsara were taken to hospital suffering from minor injuries after their car collided with another vehicle which had overturned on the westbound lane.
Motorists are facing delays of up to 20 minutes after lane one was closed as members of the Highways Agency continue to work to clear the debris and remove the vehicles from the road.
Lane two was also closed to traffic for almost an hour but has since reopened.
