Cheshire West and Chester residents invited to share views on Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service's future plans

CHESHIRE West and Chester residents are being invited to share their views on Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service's plans for the future.

The service has launched a draft version of its Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP) for 2012/13.

This annual action plan sets out how Cheshire Fire Authority intends to address some of the challenges it will face in the coming year.

Cllr David Topping, Fire Authority chair, said: “I would encourage residents to get involved with this consultation and share your views about the direction of the service.

“We had a great response to last year’s consultation and are hoping that this will repeated. The feedback you provide really helps us to shape the future of your fire and rescue service.”

Paul Hancock, chief fire officer, said: “I would really like people to get involved with this consultation and share their thoughts about the direction we are planning to take as a service.”

Residents can have their say via the www.cheshirefire.gov.uk website or they can attend one of the community roadshows: Helsby – 10am-2pm on Thursday, October 13, at Tesco Supermarket; Chester – 10am-2pm on Saturday, October 15, at the Town Hall Square; Ellesmere Port – 10am-2pm on Tuesday, October 25, outside the main market.
