120-home Eddisbury Park development unveiled in Tarvin

PLANS have been unveiled for up to 120 new homes in Tarvin.

A large development called Eddisbury Park is earmarked for land off Tarporley Road.

It will offer between 100 and 120 homes and include a village green and play area, as well as a link to Tarvin Community Woodland.

Taylor Wimpey, which is behind the plans, is holding two public consultation events at Tarvin Community Centre next week prior to submitting a planning application to Cheshire West and Chester Council before the end of the year.

The first takes place on Wednesday between 2pm and 7.30pm, and the second will be held on Friday, October 21, from 12.30-7.30pm.

A spokesman for Taylor Wimpey said: “The new homes will bring a wide range of additional benefits to the community.

“Eddisbury Park will help younger generations from Tarvin get on to the housing ladder – something which is increasingly difficult today – and enable families to grow or downsize.

“We want to discuss our proposals with the community to ensure that new ideas are offered and opportunities are taken to build on our initial concept designs.

“It is very important to us – as it will be to the community – that this development will fit in well with Tarvin.

“We look forward to speaking to residents at the Eddisbury Park consultation event and welcome their comments.”

Taylor Wimpey says about 70 jobs will be created each year during the construction of Eddisbury Park.

They say Cheshire West and Cheshire Council could be in line for a windfall of up to £1m – if they give the development the go-ahead – as a result of the Government’s New Homes Bonus scheme.

The plans can be viewed at www.eddisburypark.co.uk from tomorrow (Friday). Alternatively, the public can call a dedicated community information line on 0161 247 8417.
