Shed fire in Tarporley destroys swimming pool

FIREFIGHTERS battled through the night to control a blaze which tore through a Tarporley garden.

At just after 2am on Thursday firefighters were called to Buckingham Avenue in Tarporley after an electrical fault set a shed on fire.

Crews from Chester batted to put out the flames which tore through the shed before spreading through the garden destroying a swimming pool and neighbouring fencing and sheds.

Firefighters remained at the family home for around 20 minutes while they dampened the shed which had been completely destroyed by the fire.

Crew Manager David Daneo said: “The wife woke up and looked out of the window and realised that the shed was on fire.

“No one was hurt in the blaze which is thought to have been caused by faulty electrics within the shed.”
