Cow spotted swimming down the canal in Chester

A COW was spotted swimming down the Shropshire Union Canal on Sunday (September 25).
The animal was seen in the waterway near the Dale Barracks in Chester, swimming towards the Countess of Chester Hospital at 5.20pm.
Firefighters from Chester fire station attended and requested the assistance of a specialist animal resque team from Knutsford, but they were turned back when the cow climbed out itself.
