Two-car collision results in closure of A56 at Mickle Trafford

POLICE have closed part of the A56 at Mickle Trafford following a two-car collision this afternoon (Monday, September 19).

The collision, involving a Renault Scenic and a Nissan Primera, happened at about 1.15pm today.

A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said: “Cheshire Police were called to the scene of a serious road traffic collision reported on the A56 Warrington Road at Mickle Trafford near Chester.

“The road is closed at the junction with the M53/M56 roundabout and at the junction with School Lane. Police and other emergency services remain at the scene and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.”
