FIREFIGHTERS battled through the night to control a fire which ripped through a barn in Farndon.
At just after 3.45am today (Saturday, August 20) crews were called to Marsh House Farm, Barton Lane, Farndon, Chester after reports of a fire.
Crews from Chester, Runcorn and Malpas fire stations attended the blaze using hose reels to dose water on the straw burning inside.
A ŠHPV from Congleton and an Environmental Unit from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service also assisted during the blaze.
Firefighters remain at the scene following the early morning blaze in an attempt to stop it spreading to neighbouring buildings.
