STAFF at Swettenham Chemists in Blacon took part in a static cycle ride to raise funds for local charity Children Today.
Collectively, staff cycled 437 miles, the distance it would take to cycle from Chester to the Olympic Stadium in London and back again.
Charity events coordinator Jane Wishart, said: ‘This was a great way for all the staff to get involved in supporting a local charity and raise a fantastic £460.64 for Children Today.”
The money raised will help the charity fund specialised equipment for disabled children living locally.
Head of fundraising Ruth Thompson said: “We believe that the provision of specialised equipment for young people with disabilities has a direct and immediate impact on their quality of life and independence and is vital in helping them to overcome obstacles to live a life of greater freedom.
“We are very grateful to the staff at Swettenham Chemists for their support.”
The next charity event that staff are organising will be a Bingo Night taking place at the Waggon and Horses pub in Blacon on Friday, October 7.
